Pine Grove
Pine Grove is a glass maccha cup made with the pâte de verre technique. The design begins with a dark pine green at the base, which gradually transitions into a soft, milky white at the lip. The gradient evokes the image of a serene pine forest fading into the mist. The interior of the cup shows a flowing pattern of dark to light green, when you gaze into the cup. you are invited to experience the calming presence of a pine forest with every sip of maccha tea. Designed specifically for enjoying maccha, a tea drank below 80°C (176°F).

Drinking maccha at home
1. Boil your kettle and pour a few cups of water into a pot. Wait till it cools to less than 80° C (176°F).
2. Place the following items on a table neatly: pot of hot water, maccha, maccha cup, small spoon, whisk, small tea towel, and a receptacle for discarded water.
You may also want to have steamed milk and sweets on hand.
3. Pour a little hot water in the cup and swish it around to warm the cup. Discard the water.
4. Wipe the cup dry with the tea towel.
5. Spoon about 5 mg (less than ¼ teaspoon) of maccha into the cup, pour in about 180 ml (7 oz.) of water, and whip with the whipper till frothy. You may add steamed milk.
6. Before drinking the tea, view the cup by turning it around in your hands.
7. Lift the bowl with both hands to drink the tea.
8. Once you finish your tea, view the cup again.
9. Wipe the cup with a tea towel.
Mindful relaxation is the aim of the tea ceremony.
