Leaves in a Garden

Leaves in a Garden is a meditation on pattern and the quiet abundance of nature. It is like a kaleidoscope caught in one moment. Though small in scale, this deep plate holds a world of detail, built from countless individual glass segments that come together like a densely woven border. Created with the millefiori technique, each tiny fragment of glass carries its own internal design; together, they become an intricate field of stalks and leaves, as if seen through sunlight in a garden. Leaves in a Garden is intended as a quiet celebration of the many that become one: many cuts, many colours, many ‘leaves’ of glass joining to form a unified whole. It invites viewers to look closely and to discover, within its depth, the same shimmering vitality we glimpse when light moves across a field of foliage in the sun.
